Lots of updates!

Plenty of updates on the site, as I get ready to leave for Jazz fest in the morning.  Here's a few of the updates...

Upcoming show!

I'm working on lots of work for the next show -- plenty of new things, that haven't seen the light of day...  the website will be updated with new pieces shortly!

The next show is the New Orleans Jazz fest, next week: http://www.nojazzfest.com/.  Good stuff!

Bayou City Art Festival Memorial Park 2012!

Today will be the first day for Bayou City Memorial Park - a show in Houston, TX.  It's my second show of sculpture only - I'm both nervous, and excited.  I don't have a ton of work; I decided to make the pieces I want to, not just pieces to sell.  It a pretty great group of work that I have.  About half aren't actually on the site yet; I hope to put them up on the site this weekend sometime.

What do you mean it's February?

Why, hello there.

Contrary to popular belief, I am alive and well. It seems I've had friends and family members wondering, since there hasn't been a post in a bit. I think there's been an accident in the time stream. Wasn't it just Christmas last week? One moment I'm recuperating from the holidays, then "BAM!" it's February, and I'm making work for upcoming shows.

Traffic at the Art Fair

Apparently traffic was a bit rough at my latest show...  the Riddys had a hard time getting around...

Mini movie?

Not sure how I can post it here, but there's a very (very) short movie created for Ridiculous Vessel #30....

It's many days of creating rings...

I'm posting regularly on the new +Works of Man page on Google+, but have been a bit slow posting here.  I'll see if I can remedy that.

No Louisville this year!

Well, Louisville is still there, of course, just not with me in it.  I've had to cancel my spot in the St. James Art Festival this weekend.  My last show was fabulous, and I have both a bit too much work to make ofr everytone, and a bit too little work to show anyone.

2001 was the first year that I did the show, and have been there every year.  Hmmm - I might have actually been there in 2000, thinking about it.

Sorry for any inconvenience this causes.

No Pittsburgh this coming weekend...

Hi all.  Between having some great shows, and life being a bit topsy-turvy in fabulous ways, it looks like I won't be in Pittsburgh for the Fair in the Park this coming weekend.  I apologize -- I always love being in the 'burgh, so I'm sad to miss it, and everyone there.

If you're a customer reading this, and were truly jonesing for some work, call or email me.  I'll work a special "I should have been in Pittsburgh" deal for you.  Just talk to me.

Things are good here, hope everyone is well out there.

Thanks.

Busy busy busy

Whew.  Been a busy summer so far.

I recently just finished my first street fair (the Ann Arbor Original) with just the sculptural pieces; no jewelry was shown.  It was exciting, a bit scary, and felt very successful.  Looking forward to doing more of the same. Happily, I won an award.  The best thing about that is that I know that I'm automatically juried in for next year.

I also was in Denver for the Cherry Creek Arts Festival - absolutely amazing, again.  Even saw a few friends from old times, and met many new ones.
